Roger D. Myers, age 77, of Baltimore, passed away Thursday, May 10th, 2012, at Ohio State University Medical Center. He was born in Homeworth, OH to Duane and Florence Myers on November 9th, 1934. He was a US ARMY Veteran, a member of the Baltimore United Methodist Church, a charter member of the Whitehall F&M Lodge, a Parthenian Chapter O.E.S. of Baltimore, and a member of the Buckeye Trail Association. He had his own business, Myers Wholesale Sheet Metal and Supply in Newark, OH.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Carol Myers of Baltimore; daughters, Stephanie (David) Swaro of Glouster and Lisa (Dave) Thomas of Harbor Hills; sons, Brian (Penny) Myers of Thornville and Duane (Teri) Myers of Lancaster; grandchildren, Christine, Christopher, Justin, Michael, Steven, Joey, Ericka, Brandon, Jennifer, Michaela, Tori; and two great-grandchildren; brothers, Gary (Cheryl) Myers, Chris (Sharon) Myers; sister, Janet Myers; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Duane Myers, and Florence Lee.
A service will take place at the Baltimore United Methodist Church on Monday at 10:30AM, officiated by Pastor Branson Hawks. A Veteran Burial Detail will take place at 1:30 Monday at 3345 Prospect Church Rd. Dresden, OH 43821. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 PM at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME 207 S. Main St. Baltimore, OH 43105 and one hour prior at the Church on Monday.
