Roger "Mac" McDaniel

Roger “Mac” McDaniel age 85 of Lancaster went to be with his Lord, Nov. 11th 2018 at the Pickering House surounded by his family. He was born to the late Roland and Nellie Burgett McDaniel in Columbus on Aug. 9th, 1933. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He retired as a plumber from Young’s Plumbing in Columbus. "Mac" enjoyed fishing, hunting and being apart of the Sprint Car pit crews. He will be greatly missed by all of his friends and family.

He is survived by his daughters, Kathy Jo (Frank) Bright and Cindy (William) White; grandchildren, Kristina (Alex) McDonald and Jason Bright ; 4 great grandchildren, Rhiley, Samuel, Hannah, and Madison; brother, Jerry McDaniel; and several nieces and nephews. “Mac” was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Marilyn R. McDaniel; and brother, Robert McDaniel.

A Funeral service will be held Friday, Nov. 16th, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Rev. Ed Engelbrecht officiating. Burial to follow in Glen Rest Memorial Estates, Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Friends may visit Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
