D. Rodney Hettinger, 47, of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016, at The Ohio State University Medical Center.

Rod worked many years for Waste Management.

Rod is survived by his wife, Kelly Hettinger; sons, Zachary D. (Jessica) Hettinger, Jacob Hettinger, and Garret Hettinger; step-sons, Dustin Love and Jerahmey Pruden; parents, Dale and Belinda Hettinger; grandchildren, Blaine and Ava; sisters, Misty (Mark) Kraft and Amy Hettinger; and nieces and nephews, Michael, Taylor, Cross, and Alison.

He was preceded in death by his Grandma and Grandpa Green and Grandma and Grandpa Hettinger.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Lancaster with Pastor Jim Vanover officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster. Friends may visit from 1:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
