Roberta (Althaus) George, 73 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021 at her home surrounded by her husband and children and was welcomed into heaven by her Savior and treasured family and friends who preceded her in death.
Bertie had worked for Ralston prior to becoming co-owner of Twin City Frozen Foods with her husband, Bob for 30 years, serving the community of Baltimore. She was a member of St. Michael’s United Church of Christ and attended The River in Lancaster, Ohio.
Bertie is survived by her husband of 40 years, Bob George; son, Bryan David King of Columbus, Ohio; daughter, Bethany George of Columbus, Ohio; mother, Mary Althaus of Lancaster, Ohio; sister, Kay (Larry) Marr of Lancaster, Ohio; sister-in-law, Joyce Althaus of Amanda, Ohio; mother-in-law, JoAnn George of Baltimore, Ohio; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bill and Penny George, Jo George, Barbie and James Maynard and Betsy and John Kinkela and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. The family wants to thank her doctors, nurses, and FAIRHOPE Hospice workers.
She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Althaus; son, Todd David King; brother, Bob Althaus; father-in-law, Francis George; and brother-in-law, Brad George.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. in the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 207 S. MAIN ST., BALTIMORE, OHIO 43105 with Pastor Paul Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Friends may visit Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
