Robert Wood

Robert H. Wood, age 94 of Lancaster, formerly from McKeesport, PA died September 13th, 2016 at the Arbors at Carroll. He was born on January 16, 1922 to the late Thomas and Myrtle Mollerstrom Wood in McKeesport, PA. He served his country in the ARMY during WWII. Robert then graduated from Carnegie Tech. He retired after 39 years from Westinghouse Electric as a Mechanical Engineer. He was also a member of the 1st Baptist Church of McKeesport, PA. Robert was a great husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather that will greatly be missed.

He is survived by his sons, Gary (Beth) Wood of Carroll, Eric Wood of Guangzhou, China, Brian Wood of Vacaville, CA; daughters, Barbara Dascomb of DePew, NY, Phyllis (Kirk) Smith of Houston, TX, and Margery (Chris) Zearley of Tucson, AZ; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Janice Iverson of Melbourne, FL; brother-in-law, Lawrence (Judy) Pitzer of Etowah, NC; and three nieces.

Robert was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Carol Wood, parents, and brother, Wallace Wood.
