Robert E. Saunders, Sr.

Robert E. Saunders, Sr., 73 of Millersport, Ohio passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Fairfield Medical Center.

He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the US Army and a retired truck driver. He was a member of the Antique Tractor Club, an avid fisherman, loved bowling and loved the great outdoors.

Robert is survived by his son, Robert Saunders, Jr. of Logan, Ohio; daughters, Jessica (Adam) Wetzel and Stephanie (Adam) Corbin all of Lancaster, Ohio; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother, Everett (Shannon) Saunders of Kentucky; several nieces and nephews and special companion, Carol Starner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Jean Saunders.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Chaplain Mark Linn officiating.

Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens with the Lancaster Veterans Burial Detail conducting military rites at the cemetery.  Friends may visit Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
