ROBERT L. BOBHARVEY age 89 of Lancaster passed away Tuesday February 12, 2013 at Fairfield Medical Center. Bob was born Sept. 21, 1923 to Donald and Mary Maude Hoffman Harvey. He retired from Anchor Hocking Corp. with 42 years of service. Bob also served on Lancaster City Council. Bob was in the 3 Cs as a teenager. Bob also served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was with Pattons invasion forces.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Janet, his grandson, Bobby Knox, sister-in-law, Ruth Quillen and brothers-in-law, Ray Rucker, Clarence Miller Sr. and Bernie Mumford and his extended family Trinity, Destinee, Jennifer, Braydon, Dalton, Alexis and Sydney Pargeon and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Mamie Wade Harvey; step grandson, Tony Pargeon; four sisters, Mary Harvey, Kate Rucker, Betty and Matt Bloom and Roberta and Roi Eisele; his six brothers Donald Jr., John and Hazel, Abe and Lucille, Jim Sr. and Marian, Bill and Edith and George Harvey, also many nieces, nephew and friends.
The family would like to thank the ICU staff, 3rd floor and the Pallative Care Unit for their very thoughtful care of Bob.
A Caring Cremation has taken place and at Bobs request, no visitation or services will be held. Inurnment will be at a later date with Pastor Tony Salvatori. Memorials may be given to the Fairfield County American Heart Association in Bobs memory. Arrangements were completed by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, LANCASTER.
