Robert Elam

Robert A. Elam age 65, of Thurston, OH died at his residence on Sunday October 2nd, 2011. He was a retired Lt. from the Fairfield Co. Sheriff Dept. with 18 years of service. He was in the US Air Force, and was a member of the Little White Church in Jesus's Name.
Robert was survived by his wife of 34 years Rebecca Elam; sons, Shawn Elam of Columbus, and Brandon Vincent a nephew raised as a son, of Baltimore; daughter, Shana Elam of Lancaster; stepmother, Imogene Elam of Argonia OH; 4 half brothers, 5 half sisters, and 3 stepsisters.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marshall Elam and mother, Lilly Howard and step-father Richard Howard; and sister, Shirley.
A service will take place at 11am on Thursday at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME in Baltimore, officiated by Pastor Steven Parsley. Burial will follow at the Old Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Thurston. Friends and family can visit at the funeral home from 5PM until 8PM on Wednesday evening.
