Robert "Bob" Corn, Jr

Robert (Bob) E. Corn, Jr., age 63, of Lancaster passed away Oct. 27th, 2014 at his home. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on March 7th, 1951 to his late father Bob “Popcorn” Sr. and his surviving mother, M. Joann Corn. He was a 1969 graduate of LHS and retired in 2012 after 43 years at Anchor Hocking Plant 1. Bob loved music, taught himself how to play the guitar; he enjoyed making guitars for his grandsons and wooden quilt racks for his granddaughters. Bob was a Chevy enthusiast, a great cook, and enjoyed his great friends.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Brenda Corn, of Lancaster; son Brian (Janet) Corn of AL; daughters, Christina (Curtis Simms) Vargo of Columbus and Julie (Randy Jarrell) Cornwell of Lancaster; grandchildren, Whitney (Josh), April (Doug), Tiffani, William, Zackary, and Morgan; great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Gracelynn, and Eiko; mother, M. Joann Corn; sister, Pat (Tom) Soliday; mother-in-law, Rita Bitler; brothers-in-law Bill (Rhonda) Bitler and Warren Bitler; special friend, Randy Stalder, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his father, Bob “Popcorn” Sr.; brother, Charles; and father-in-law, Paul W. Bitler.
A service will take place on Thursday, at 7:30PM at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, officiated by Pastor Bill Pitts. Family and friends may call from 2-4PM and 6 until 7:30PM at the Funeral home on Thursday. Caring Cremation™ will take place following the service.
