Rick Lavinsky

October 9, 1944 — October 22, 2017

Rick Allan Lavinsky passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at his home in Hide A Way Hills. Rick was born to Irving and Ruth Lavinsky in New Rochelle, New York on October 9, 1944.

Rick had a passionate love for his family and of his country. He had developed a deep faith in Christ which sustained him to the end.

He was a running enthusiast all of his life running in many marathons including the Boston and Columbus Marathons. He was just ready to celebrate his 30 year anniversary of his heart valve replacement surgery. After many good lawyer years, he became just as passionate about working each day as a handyman with his best friend, Roger Conrad. He was an avid reader and a great dancer as long as he could do his "own" freestyle. He also was very musical, playing his clarinet and singing in the church choir.

Rick's many accomplished attorney years were spent at the following;

Lucas, Prendergast, Albright, Gibson, Brown, Newman working in business and real estate law from 1970-1975

Riley, Ucker, and Lavinsky working on real estate law focusing on real estate development from 1989-1995

Dinsmore and Shohl LLP continuing real estate development. While there also being general counsel to Jefferson Savings Bank and general counsel to The Lake Communities Association from 1995-present.
