Richard Waugh

Richard E. “Dick” Waugh, 82, of Lancaster, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at the Pickering House.

Dick was a 1951 graduate of Lancaster High School, where he played on the school golf team. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Sixth Avenue United Methodist Church, a retired foreman with Anchor Hocking Glass Company, and a member of the American Legion and Olivedale. Dick was also an avid golfer, bowler, and Buckeye Fan.

Dick is survived by his wife of 60 years, Pearl Ann (Love) Waugh; son, Rick (Goldie) Waugh; daughters, Linda (Robert) Cundiff and Lori (Thomas) DeVore; grandchildren, Tim and Ryan Waugh, Christopher, Alexander, and Lindsey Cundiff, and Nicholas, Eric, and Julia DeVore; brothers and sister, Norma Shaw, Harold Waugh, James (Donna) Waugh, and Donald (Sharyn) Waugh; and brother and sister-in-laws, Bill (Joann) Craiglow and Sandy Waugh.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, George and Margaret Waugh; sister, Rosemary Craiglow; and brother, Kenneth Waugh.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday at the Sixth Avenue United Methodist Church, 1004 W Sixth Ave, Lancaster, Ohio 43130. Family and friends may visit from 7 to 9 pm Friday at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, 405 N Columbus St, Lancaster, Ohio 43130. Caring Cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Dick to the Pickering House, 282 Sells Rd, Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
