Richard "Dale" Walker

Richard ‘Dale” Walker, age 84, died Sunday, March 13, 2016. He was son of the late Walter F. Walker and Frieda (Howdyshell) Walker and was born in Logan, Ohio on February 29, 1932. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Delores (Donahue) Walker, daughter Nancy (Tim) McGee, son Roger Dale Walker all of the Carroll area the past 50 years, grandchildren Roxanne Walker, Heath (Kandace) Bletzacker, Ryan and Shawn McGee, brother Gene Walker, sisters Doris Debolt and Arlene Dusi; an aunt Sue Hockman and an uncle Ronald (Shirley) Walker, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Judy Walker.

Dale graduated from Rockbridge High School and The Ohio State University, had been a member of Mills Memorial United Methodist Church, and retired from Diamond Power with 40 years of service. He especially was so pleased with his recent 21st (Leap Year) birthday celebration with family and friends.

Friends may visit Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130. A private graveside service will be held in New Fairview Cemetery, Rockbridge, Ohio with Carl Spencer officiating.

Memorial gifts may be given to his “neighboring” Greenfield Twp. Fire Department, 3245 Havensport Rd. NW, Carroll, Ohio 43112.
