Richard Lee “Dick” Stalter, 84 of Baltimore, Ohio passed away July 6, 2016. Born May 17, 1932 to the late Harrison and Evelyn (Blauser) Stalter and graduated from Thurston High School. Served in the US Army during the Korean War and is a member of the Baltimore VFW and Baltimore United Methodist Church. Retired from GTE Telephone Company after 39 years of service. He was known to always be helping others and was the 2004 recipient of the American Red Cross Senior Adult Hero Award. Survived by his wife and high school sweetheart Kathryn (Weidner) Stalter of 64 years, sons Stephen (Carol) Stalter of Baltimore, Rod (Cindy) Stalter of Columbus and daughter Lori (Rob) Fellure of Baltimore. Grandchildren Lynette (Brent) Emmert of Thornville, Sherry (Eric) Emmert of Somerset, Angel (Jim) Baughman of New Lexington, Lauren Fellure of Chicago, IL, Richard Fellure of Denver, Colorado and Megan Stalter, Columbus. Six great-grandchildren and brother Karl (Shirley) Stalter of Pleasantville. Numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents and brother George Stalter. Caring cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 10 at 1:30 p.m. at Baltimore United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Baltimore United Methodist Church, 200 West Market Street, Baltimore, Ohio 43105.
