Richard Markenson

Richard Markenson 66 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017 at the Pickering House.

He was a retired shoe salesman for Bostonian Shoe Co. and was a member of Olivedale Senior Citizens Center. He liked to play poker and pin-pong and socializing with his friends.

Richard is survived by his wife of 42 years, Pam Markenson; son, Richard “Tom” T. Markenson of Newark, Ohio; brother, Gary (Deborah) Markenson of Kansas City, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Markenson, and father and step-mother, Milton and Irene Markenson.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with his brother, Gary Markenson officiating. Caring Cremation® to take place. Friends may visit Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
