Richard L. Ety

Richard L. Ety, 86 of Carroll, Ohio passed away, Sunday, August 15, 2021 at the Pickering House.

He was born on August 4, 1935 to the late Charles H. and Edith Ety on the family farm.  He graduated from Carroll High School Class of 1953.

Richard was a lifelong farmer and a member of St. Michael’s United Church of Christ.

He is survived by his sister, Charma (Ron) Bussert; brother, Ralph H. Ety all of Carroll, Ohio; nephews, Richard (Andrea) Bussert and Kevin (Paige) Bussert; nieces, Connie (Ray) Stoneburner and Chris (Matt) Shreyer and sister-in-law, Shirlee Ety.

Richard was preceded in death by parents and brothers, Gerald Ety.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, BALTIMORE, OHIO with Rev. Jill Dunlap. Burial will follow in Basil Memorial Cemetery.  Friends may visit Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Pickering House and FairHoPe Hospice for their love and care of Richard during the last few months.
