Richard B. Cavanaugh

Richard B. Cavanaugh, 94, of Lancaster, Ohio passed away January 24, 2021.

Richard was born to Joseph and Mary Cavanaugh.  He married Billie Knight, his wife of 63 years in 1952.

He was drafted into the Army prior to graduating from St. Mary’s High School.  He received notification of his diploma while stationed in the Philippines.  He graduated in 1945.

After he returned from Japan he was employed by Ohio Bell and remained there until he retired in 1983.

He became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1988 and attended the North Lancaster Congregation.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie, his parents, Joseph and Mary Cavanaugh, brothers, Thomas, James Patrick, John, and Donald Cavanaugh, and sister Ruth Miller.

He is survived by his son Joseph (Lisa) Cavanaugh, his sister Dorothy Raymond, and granddaughters Quinn (Shane) Wren and Kristine Cavanaugh.
