Pleasantville

Richard Michael Blauser, born on September 17, 1952, in Columbus, Ohio, passed away on April 3, 2025, in Pleasantville. He leaves behind a warm and lasting legacy that will always be remembered by his family and friends.

Richard dedicated much of his life to serving others, starting his career as an electrician at Philips Electric and later working for the Pickerington School District at Tussing Elementary as a custodian. His caring and compassionate nature resonated throughout his professional life, reflecting his genuine love for those around him. As a cherished member of the Baltimore VFW, he was known for his unwavering commitment to community and service.

He found immense joy in the little pleasures of life, particularly in his beloved man cave garage, which truly was the happiest place on earth for him. Richard delighted in playing "name that tune," a game that brought about laughter and fellowship among family and friends, especially during pizza nights. Music was his life, an important aspect of his being that added rhythm to his days and connected him with those he loved.

His personality shone bright through his meticulous determination; whether tending to his lawn every three days or engaging with family and friends, he approached everything with care and attention. Richard believed in the importance of not judging a book by its cover, a principle he embodied in his own life, where his well-maintained exterior matched the beauty of his heart.

Richard is survived by his daughter Michelle (Tony) Farmer, his grandchildren Kristy (John), Jessica, A.J. (Nicole), Ron, Alex, and Jarrod, and his great-grandchildren Aenora, Zach, and Leyla. He is also survived by his sister, Rhonda, his brother, Michael Phillips, and brother-in-law, Dan Paulmier. Together, they represent the pride of his accomplishments and the legacy he cherished the most - the deep love he had for his family.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Brenda Blauser; his parents, Dale and Patricia King Blauser; his sister, Resha Paulmier; and his best friend, Butch. Each of these individuals held a special place in his heart, and their memories will forever be honored by those who remain.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Richard's life during a visitation on April 10, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Johnson-Smith - Baltimore, located at 207 S Main St 158, Baltimore, Ohio. A memorial service will follow on April 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM, to honor the remarkable man Richard was and the love he brought into our lives.
