Rebecca Babcock, 94, of Lancaster, died on Thursday, February 13, 2020, at the Pickering House.

She was a retired teacher, a DAR member, and an active member of St. John’s Episcopal Church.

Rebecca is survived by her daughter, Linda (Bruce) Tipton; sons, Richard (Kristina) Babcock, Charles Babcock, and John (Tanya) Babcock; grandchildren, Amity (Jack) Lynch, Jeremy Tipton, and Ashley (Aaron) Baker; and nephew, Robert Fancher.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard R. Babcock Sr.; parents, Bernard and Louise Campbell; sister, Louise Fancher; and brother, Bernard Campbell.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, February 29 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 134 N. Broad St, Lancaster, Ohio with Fr. Seth Wymer officiating. A reception will follow the service in the church undercroft. Caring Cremation has taken place through the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Lancaster and private burial in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.

Memorials may be made in Rebecca’s name to St. John’s Episcopal Church.
