Reale Richardson McCafferty

Reale Richardson McCafferty, 41, died February 23, 2013. She is survived by her children David Brentlinger of Columbus, Dylan Brentlinger and Olivia Daniels of Lancaster; her parents Kristi (David) Scheffler and Rodney (Beth) Richardson, both of Lancaster; her siblings Eliot Richardson of Vienna, WV and Mackenzie (Marco) Mancinas of Avondale, AZ; her step-siblings Jennifer (Tom) McGuiggan of Charlottesville, VA, Joel (Kristen) Scheffler of Springfield, VT and Jill (Ben) Hampshire of Lancaster; her grandmothers Janet Newcome of McConnelsville and Margaret Hoffman of Zanesville; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Reale was a 2004 graduate of Hocking College and a home-health registered nurse who cared deeply for her patients frequently visiting them after hours to check on their status and lend a friendly ear. She was a wonderful and caring mother who loved her children more than anything in the world. She will be sorely missed by David, Dylan, Olivia and all her family and friends. Her children would like to leave you with a thought “When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.”

Friends may call on the family from 6 – 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26 at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home with memorial service to follow immediately after. Caring Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations in Reale’s memory by made to The Recovery Center, 201 South Columbus St., Lancaster, OH 43130.
