Raymond F. Snelling, 89, of Lancaster, formerly of Baltimore, went home to the Lord on Thursday, January 12, 2012.

Raymond was a member of New Zion United Methodist Church in Baltimore. He was a retired farmer and worked many years for Lancaster Poultry. He also enjoyed being a referee for Chair Volleyball.

Raymond is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Larry Magley; son, Kenneth Snelling; granddaughters, Peggy Searles and Linda (Terry) Corbett; grandson, Joe (Kenda) Finnefrock; step-grandson, Rick (Tammie) Magley; 9 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Ireta Snelling and his parents, Frank and Margaret Snelling.

Funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm Monday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Lancaster with Reverend Richard Stuhmer officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Lancaster. Family and friends may visit Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

Donations may be made in memory of Raymond to New Zion United Methodist Church, 10991 Snyder Church Rd, Baltimore, Ohio 43105.
