Raymond L. Fisher, 90, of Lancaster, peacefully passed on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at the Pickering House with his loving family by his side. He was born on May 13, 1928, in Piketon, Ohio to the late John and Dessie Fisher.
Raymond served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He worked in the car business for 40 years with Ricart Ford and Dick Masheter Ford. He was also a Kentucky Colonel. Raymond was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
He is survived by his children, Jeffrey (Mary) Fisher, Mark (Michelle) Fisher, and Pam Fisher; grandchildren, Serra Fisher, Mandy (Chris) Stone, Clint (Kea) Fisher, and Natalie (Brandon) Smith; great grandchildren, Miranda Stone, Aidan Stone, Aubrey Fisher, and Cody Brown; and sisters-in-law, Ruby Fisher and Verna Barker.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Esteen Fisher; sons, John L. Fisher and David Fisher; twin brother, Richard Fisher; and sisters, Etta Branum and Docia Dyke.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. Columbus St, Lancaster, Ohio 43130. Family and friends may visit from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at a later date in Evergreen Union Cemetery in Waverly, Ohio.
