Ramona Mona J. Frank, age 73 of Rockbridge, died August 24th, 2015 at Crestview Rehabilitation. She was born on January 8th, 1942 in Litchfield, IL to the late Lawrence and Mary Powel Taylor. She was originally a teachers assistant, then she earned her Steam Engineer license, and then owned and operated two restaurants most notably the Rainbow Restaurant located in Columbus. She was a member of the Maple St. United Methodist Church where she was a cook for several years, always helping and feeding those in need. Mona was an amazing wife and mother who felt as comfortable playing football with her boys as she did cooking. Her friendship and wonderful personality will be greatly missed.
Mona is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Bruce J. Frank; sons, John B. (Lisa) Frank, Lawrence F. (Susan) Frank, and Joseph R. (Debora) Frank; step-son, Michael E. Frank; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Aaron K. (Tammy) Taylor; two nephews; and Mona was a sister to all.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Caring Cremation has taken place through the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on Wednesday at 2PM at the Maple Street United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Phyllis Fetzer.
