Ralph C. Witte, Sr. 78 of Lancaster, Ohio, former resident of Belleville, MI went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at the Inn at Fairfield Village. He was born on April 20, 1935 in Allen Park, MI to the late Frank E. and Myrtle Schultz Witte.
He was a hard working, generous man and a dedicated servant of the Lord. Ralph treasured his children. He loved fishing with his kids, working on cars and had a passion for cruising in his VW and Camaro. He also enjoyed long bike rides and watching baseball. Ralph loved spending time with his grandchildren, Tommi, Dallas, Nikki, Faith, and Joshua.
Ralph graduated from Allen Park High School in 1953. He retired from Ford Motor Co. with over 40 years service. He attended Fairfield Christian Church and was a previous member of the Belleville Lighthouse Church.
Ralph is survived by his son, Ralph C. (Jennifer) Witte of Lancaster, OH; daughter, Valerie L. (Tom) DeMichael of Stafford Springs, CT; grandchildren; brothers, Merle Witte, Frank Witte, Earl Witte; sister, Gloria VanHeusen; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Gordon, Willus and Ross Witte, sisters Sylvia Colwell and Rosalie Glaab.
Caring Cremation® has taken place by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OH 43130. The family is planning a private Celebration of Life service at a later date.
