Ralph George Harper 83 of Millersport, Ohio went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at OSU Wexner Medical Center. He was born to the late Hubbard and Ina (Helmick) Harper on December 1, 1938 in Webster Spring, West Virginia.
He served in the US Air Force as a flight controller and later retired from Lancaster Electro Plating. Ralph was a member of Lighthouse Memorial Church where he and his wife severed as custodians, a musician that liked to play the guitar and the banjo. He enjoyed gardening and feed the birds and wildlife.
Ralph is survived by his wife of 57 years, Emma (Schroeder) Harper; son, Ralph G. Harper, II of Millersport; daughters, Sheila Greene of Wheeling West Virginia, Marcella (Delmas) Baughman of Cherry Falls West Virginia, Melisa Greathouse of Millersport, Tezra (Dave) Inscore of Florida and Vanessa (Dave) Garbark of Heath; grandchildren, Dianne (Mike) Erickson, Holly (Chad) Baker, Mahala Harper, Keira Garbark, Reagan Ross Harper, Gage Harper, Nick, Nathan and Luke Garbark, Nathan (Corinne) Greene, Ashley (Austin) Richardson, Evan Greene and Alicia (Frankie) Perko; great grandchildren, Serenity Wolfe, Aliah, Ciara, Madisan and Masan Baker, Johnny Richardson, Eli Greene, and Vinnie and Frankie Perko; sisters, Dora (Jim) Dicus of Oakland, California and Greta (Max) Gray of Little Rock, Arkansas and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Belinda Harper, great granddaughter Ava Malin Erickson, parents, brother James Harper, sisters Hildred Peterson, Rosalie Osburn and Norma Jean Louck.
Funeral service will be held Monday, September 19, 2022 at 10:30 am at the Lighthouse Memorial Church with Pastor Jim Vanover officiating. Burial will be held in Millersport Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday from 1-5 pm at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 207 S. MAIN ST., BALTIMORE, OHIO 43105 and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
