Raesean "Sean" J. Shanks, age 31 of Baltimore, died November 10, 2019 at Fairfield Medical Center. Reasean came into his forever family at just 4 weeks of age. Born with several medical needs, Raesean was born to be a fighter. In his short life he endured multiple surgeries and setbacks. He never let his lifestyle darken his outlook on life. He loved everyone and everything. Raesean spoke to the world through his smile and all his hugs and kisses. He was friends with everyone around him and loved everybody.

He was a member of the Pickerington Church of the Nazarene . He previously attended Forest Rose and enjoyed spending time at A Creative Journey in Lancaster. His main profession was as a porch sitter always greeting the residents of Baltimore with an amazing smile.

He is survived by his loving parents, Russell and Phyllis Shanks; siblings, Matthew Shanks, Kim (Eric) Coffman, Jamie (Jason) Wollenberg, special baby brother; nieces and nephews Brandt and Kortnie Coffman and Connor and Macie Wollenberg, and many, many past siblings, and special 4 legged friend Max.

He was preceded in death by his sister Amy Shanks; maternal grandparents, Mary and Chester Wessel; paternal grandparents, Russell Sr. and Dorothy Shanks; uncle, Charles "Butch" Shanks, and cousin Mandy Gee.

A funeral service will take place on Thursday at 10:30AM officiated by Pastor Phil Manson. Burial will follow the service at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Family and friends may call from 4PM until 8PM on Wednesday at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, 207 S. Main St. Baltimore, OH 43105 and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
