Rachel Chilcote

Rachel M. Chilcote, 93, of Lancaster, passed away at her residence on Thursday, June 14, 2012.

Rachel was born July 10, 1918 in Granstville, West Virginia to the late Harry and Evangeline Miller. She was a 1936 graduate of Calhoun High School in West Virginia. She was also a graduate of Cleveland Business College and attended West Virginia University. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the American Business Women’s Association since October of 1965. She worked many years for Lancaster Glass. She was an avid Ohio State University football fan and she loved her cats.

Rachel is survived by several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Clayton C. Chilcote; her parents; and her sisters.

Funeral service for Rachel will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home with Chaplain Mark Pierce officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
