She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren: Aubrey, Clark, Cecillia, Juliette, Miles, Harrison, and Blake. Sisters Judy Starr and Janet Lorenz, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Phyllis, affectionately known as "the director," possessed a remarkable talent for organization and leadership, endearing her to siblings and friends alike. She had a unique gift for baking delightful pies and crafting fudge that became legendary within her family. Her kitchen was a place of love and laughter, where cherished memories were created one delicious treat at a time.

A lover of music, Phyllis found joy in the melodies that graced her life. She cherished moments spent watching her grandchildren perform in the Berne Union Marching Band, their music becoming a soundtrack to her heart. These times were a testament to the love and pride she held for her family.

In her professional life, Phyllis worked at the American Greetings Card Company and Cody Beauty Supply, where she brought her trademark organizational skills and warmth to her colleagues.

Preceded in death by her parents and sister Marilyn Deckard, Phyllis's legacy lives on through her devoted family and friends who were touched by her warmth and spirit.
