Peggy Lou Willis, 87, of Commerce Township, Michigan passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Westlake Health Campus. She was born on January 20, 1928, to the late Henrietta and Adrian Stricker of Hamilton, Ohio. She was full of laughter and was a loving, caring mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She lived her life in Lancaster, Ohio after her marriage to Robert Willis. She retired from Anchor Hocking Glass Corp. in 1987 with 27 years of service and was a member of Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church. Upon her husbands death she lived with her daughter and son-in-law in Michigan.
She is survived by daughter, Kelly (Doug) Petty of Commerce Twp, Michigan; grandchildren, Josh Petty of Oak Park, Illinois, Jeremy (Saira) Petty of Dunedin, Florida, and Rachel (Anthony) Paesani, of Waterford, Michigan; sister, Eris Cappelli of Hamilton, Ohio; nieces, Christy Baker, Juli (Joe) Ford, Marty (Bud) Baker, and nephews Scott (Marcia) Wills, Doug (Dena)Cappelli, Leon (Kristi) Hutsler, John Hutsler. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 63 years, Robert Earl Willis.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 6, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church, with Rev. Dr. John C. Davidson officiating. Family and friends may visit Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Forest Rose Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the FRANK E.
