Peggy Lou (Faigley) Neighbor

Peggy Lou Neighbor, age 85 of Lancaster, died August 23, 2022 at Crestview Nursing Home. She was born in Lancaster, on Nov. 20, 1936 to the late John and Aileen Stafford Faigley. She retired from Lucent Technologies, formerly Ohio Bell, where she worked on the first cell phones.  Peggy was a member of the 6th Ave. United Methodist Church.  She was an amazing mother, who loved to travel and give her son wonderful life experiences, a trip to Hawaii, seeing many concerts, from Frank Sinatra to KISS.  The memories of her taking all the neighborhood children on a random trip to King’s Island and her loving nature will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Peggy was survived by her loving son, Joe (Sonia) Neighbor; grandchildren, Kathleen (Franklin) Zebreski; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her, husband, Bobby Joe Neighbor Sr.; parents; and brother, Bob Faigley.

A funeral service will take place on Monday Aug 29th, 2022 1PM at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, 405 N Columbus St. Lancaster, OH 43130, officiated by Rev. Rick Jones. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Lancaster.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 11AM Monday until the time of service at 1PM.
