Peggy Ann (Stevens) Hummel 71 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Monday, October 6, 2014 at Mt. Carmel East hospital. She was born on December 28, 1942.
She loved to laugh. She enjoyed going to old car shows, loved flowers and watching hummingbirds. She loved to eat pizza and chocolate and would often talk about her Heavenly Father and the beauty He put on this earth.
Peggy is survived by her companion, Ralph Smyers; sons, Gary (Ruth) Hummel, Keith Hummel and Tim Hummel; step-daughter, Angie (Chris) Chapman; grandchildren, Tia, Caitlin and Jayse Hummel; great-grandchild, Mady; brother, Geoff Stevens, sisters, Lorraine (Richard) DeWitt and Sue (Mike) Wallis; aunt Artist Menks; nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Bea Stevens, grandparents, Rev. Edward and Jennie Stevens an Harry and Deliah Duddleson, brothers, Ray, Jay, Mike, and Christopher Stevens and grandson, Shane Starner.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Pastor Dale Darr officiating. Burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Baltimore, Ohio. Friends may visit from 10:30-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday.
