Biography

Pearl Smith, age 91, of Baltimore, “The Lady with the White Horse” died on Friday, June 14, 2013.

She retired from the former RBM Company and was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church and the Melrose Rebekah Lodge #571.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Shawn and Robert Terry and Dixie and Gene McManus all of Baltimore; grandsons, Chris (Teresa) McManus, Chad Terry, and Trevor Terry; great grandchildren, Zachary (Amy) McManus, Sarah (Matthew) Nieman, and Faith Terry; 2 great great grandchildren, Maddox Smith and Harper McManus; sister-in-law, Jean Elder of Lancaster; brother-in-law, Donnie S. (Leann) Smith of Lancaster; and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenist in 1986 and her parents, Maywood and Goldie Ellifritt.

Caring Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Fairview United Methodist Church, 6100 Fairview Rd, Pickerington, Ohio 43147 with Rev. Jeremy Shanks and Rev. Patricia Wycuff officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, prior to service at the Church. Burial will follow later in Glen Rest Memorial Estate.

Memorials may be given to the Fairview United Methodist Church, Mt. Carmel Hospice, 1144 Dublin Rd, Columbus, Ohio 43215, or the Melrose Rebekah Lodge #571, 241 Pearl Lane, Pickerington, Ohio 43147 in Pearls’ memory. Arrangements were completed by the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, Baltimore.
