Paula Kay Michalski

Paula Kay Michalski, 72, of Lancaster, passed away October 20, 2021 at Mount Carmel East. She was born on October 4, 1949 to the late Paul Wilson and Helen Wilson in Clarksburg, West Virginia.

Paula was a 1967 graduate of Lancaster High School. She became a licensed cosmetologist who last worked as a hairstylist at Julia’s Salon and Spa in Lancaster. She took a break from hairstyling early in her career to work at Anchor Hocking in the decorating department. Before returning to cosmetology, she worked at Anchor for 25 years, including active involvement in the glassworkers union. She was justifiably most proud of her work as a hairstylist.

She is survived by her husband, Ray Michalski; son, Robert L. Huber Jr., daughter, Elizabeth (Jeffrey) Ruff; granddaughter, Kaylie Ruff; special friend, Abby Gibbons; and sisters, Donna Richards, Brenda (Michael) Weaver, and Karen Wilson.

No services are planned at the present time.
