Paul E. Shaeffer

Paul E. Shaeffer, age 90 of Lancaster, died Jan. 18, 2022.  He was born on Nov. 21, 1931 in Lancaster to the late Floyd and Bessie (Smith) Shaeffer.  He served his country in the US Army.  Paul then started his life long career of farming.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved spending time with his family and friends.  His love for life will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his sons, Ryan Shaeffer and Perry (Ann) Shaeffer; brother and sister-in-law, Charles (Janet) Wagner; and several nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ada M. (Wagner) Shaeffer; sister, Gloria (Carl) Grimes; nephew, Larry Grimes; and niece, Mary Grimes.

A funeral service will take place at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 12 noon.  Burial will follow the service at Forrest Rose Cemetery with the Lancaster Veteran Burial Detail having Military Honors.
