Paul J. Morton, age 87, of Lancaster, died May 9th, 2014 at the Pickering House. He was born to Walter and Edna Claire Morton in Cincinnati on August 21st, 1926. He was an avid reader, who enjoyed learning. He was knowledgeable in a range of world affairs. He was a true historian. He served in the Army and was a guard during the Nuremberg Trials. Paul will be greatly missed, never forgotten.
Paul is survived by his daughters, Chris (Robert) Sulick of Lancaster, and Elly Vyhnalek of Cleveland; grandchildren, Amy Vyhnalek and Brian (Liz) Vyhnalek; great grandson, Alexander Vyhnalek; and brother, Roger (Joan) Morton; sister, Bette Whelan; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Morton; and sister, Patricia Morton.
Caring Cremation® has taken place through the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME. A private memorial service will take place at a later date.
