Elder Paul Jones 84 of Baltimore, Ohio passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Grant Medical Center. He was born on August 4, 1933 in McDowell, Kentucky to the late Ira Lee and Fannie Jones.
Paul was a Primitive Baptist Pastor for 60 years. He traveled to churches all around the United States during that time. Paul was the owner of 37 Upholstery and taught upholstery classes at Eastland-Fairfield Career Center. He loved to help deliver flowers and plant vegetables and annuals at the family business, Hoffman's Flowers. In his free time Paul loved to write poetry and spiritual articles. He also enjoyed feeding and watching the birds and squirrels.
He is survived by his daughters, Deborah (John) Hoffman and Jennifer (Larry) Shover all of Baltimore, Ohio; grandchildren, John-Paul Hoffman of Baltimore, Ohio, Jeff (Lisa) Hoffman of Lancaster, Ohio, Olivea Heather “Sis” Oldham of Columbus, Ohio, Jeremy (Kathy) Shover of Baltimore, Ohio and Ric Reinhardt of Brazil; great-grandchildren, Jonathan “JT” Hoffman of Lancaster, Ohio, and James Shover of Baltimore, Ohio; sisters, Roberta Doolin, Mary Allard and Nell Cooper all of Indiana; special nephews, Ellis and Arlee Jones; sisters-in-law, Lavadis and Mildred Jones and many other nieces and nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Jones, brothers, Casey, Bernard and Clayborn Jones, sister, Bonnie Harvey and brothers-in-law, and his parents.
Funeral service will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. in the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 207 S. MAIN ST., BALTIMORE, OHIO 43105 with Brother Paul Trautner officiating. Burial will follow in Reynoldsburg Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
