Patrick “Pat” Black, 62, of Lancaster, passed away at the Pickering House on Tuesday, May 23, 2017.
Pat never knew a stranger. He loved to play golf and got his first hole-in-one only a short time ago at Valley View. He was a beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, and brother.
Pat is survived by his wife of 42 years, Carol Black; mother, Joan Black; children, Gus (April) Black and Sara (Ryan) Gaskill; grandchildren, Denisha, Mayzi, Landon, Braxton, Carson, Karis, and Kobe; sister, Pam Sweeney; brothers, Mike (Sue) Black of Phoenix, Arizona and Chris Black; mother-in-law, Pat Garner; many nieces and nephews; and best friend, Tom “Turtle” Wildermuth.
Pat was preceded in death by his father, Richard Black; sisters, Virginia Levacy and Barb Mowery; niece, Tiffany Mowery; father-in-law, Dale Garner, Sr., and brother-in-law, Randy Garner.
A Celebration of Pat’s Life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 27th at the AMVETS Post 1985, 700 S. Maple St, Lancaster, Ohio 43130. Caring Cremation through the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, Lancaster.
