Pamela Hewitt

August 6, 1958 — November 17, 2017

Pamela S. (Estep) Hewitt 59 of Lancaster, Ohio is now at peace with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She left this world surrounded by her loving family at the Pickering House, in Lancaster, Ohio on Friday, November 17, 2017.

Pam was born August 6, 1958 in Lancaster, Ohio, the daughter of Ronald and Betty (Kennedy) Estep. She worked many jobs in Lancaster, and the surrounding area, including Diamond Power, Vinton County Bank, and most recently Worthington Industries in Bremen. She enjoyed working in the evenings in retail, and delivered for the Columbus Dispatch for many years.

She loved and was so proud of her nephew Erick North and her niece Miranda North. She watched and supported Erick, and Miranda in their school, and 4H activities as they were growing up. She was so proud of their accomplishments, and was always interested in the new things they were pursuing. Pam enjoyed spending time, and traveling with friends. She especially cherished special family vacations in Gatlinburg, TN, but was always eager to come home to her “Little Rudy”, “the Best doggie ever.”

She was so happy to be able to participate in the planning, preparation, then witness the marriage of Erick and Tasha, and then a short time later join in the excitement as Miranda shared that her and Luke Snow were engaged.

Pam’s love, and commitment to her family will live on through Mark Meadows, her mother Betty Estep, her sister Paula (Fred) North; nephew, Erick, (Tasha) North, niece Miranda North; and Miranda’s fiancé Luke Snow, Aunts Judy Kennedy and Mildred Estep and many cousins.

In addition to the time with her loving family, she enjoyed time with Mark’s children, Hollie (Keith) Swartz, and Phillip (Megan) Meadows, and of course the grandchildren Liam and Kallie Swartz, and Peter and Griffin Meadows. She was so excited to get cards and gifts addressed to Grandma. She was always greeted by them with love and open arms.

Pam was preceded in death by her father Ron Estep, and her brother Jeffrey Estep.

Pam enjoyed attending church, most recently at Grace Community Christian Fellowship in Lancaster. She was truly blessed to have the love and support of a wonderful church family. Their encouraging words and cards helped her through some of the roughest days in her tough battle. She and Mark shared special memories of the many Christian Concerts they attended together.

The family would like to offer special thanks and appreciation to Dr. Kanwaljit Singh, his staff, Dr. Scott Johnson, Dr. Douglas Pope at FMC, and all the wonderful people with FairHope Hospice and the Pickering House for their wonderful care and support.
