Orville Hopson

Orville Marie Hopson was born September 29, 1940 in Indianapolis to Earl Hopson and Julia Mae Brawley.

Orville was the 11th child out of 13 children and attended Indianapolis Public Schools. She worked at University of Medicine And Dentistry - Newark, NJ as Executive Secretary.

Orville dedicated her life to serve God and started her ministry as Deaconess at African Methodist Episcopal Church, Piscataway, New Jersey. She was a loyal servant of God and the loving mother and grandmother.

Orville Marie Hopson passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017 on 11:13 pm at the age of 76. She was preceded her in death by her parents and 5 siblings.

Orville leaves precious memories to be cherished by her the only one beloved son Ronald Edward Overby; her beloved daughter in law Reony Elizabeth Overby; her 4 loving grandchildren Travis Myers, Vance Keith Overby, Whitney Chloe Overby and Laura Marie Overby; 3 brothers Ralph Hopson, Harold R. Hopson and Patrick Hopson; 4 sisters Martha Haynes, Dorothy Bullock, Helen Cooper and Wesaline Kerr; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, Pastors and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ray Richards and Pastor Ari Meoko officiating.
