Opal Jane Price Bowers 99 years old almost reached 100 of Baltimore, Ohio went to be with Lord and Savior on Monday, May 29, 2023 at the residence of her granddaughter in Belpre, Ohio. She was born on July 4, 1923 in Marysville, Ohio to the late John and Sylvia Immel. She was a retired book keeper for Western Auto with over 30 years of service.
Opal was a member of Fairfield Christian Church North Campus (The Grove), where she also worked for the church and was in the church choir. She played the guitar and sang, enjoyed oil painting and reading her Bible.
She is survived by her sons, Robert (Kim) Price of Pickerington, Ohio and Will (Paula) Price of Cape Coral, Florida; many grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed.
Opal was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Price of 36 years, Robert Bowers, daughter and son-in-law, Saundra and Fred Stowers, son, James A. Price, parents, sisters, Ruth Wright, Helen Vannoy, Violet Ketner, Margaret Taylor and a brother, Jack Immel.
A graveside service will be held Friday, June 2, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Brownsville Cedar Hill Cemetery, Brownsville, Ohio with Pastor William C. Lavely officiating. No calling hours to be observed.
Arrangements are being handled by the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 207 S. MAIN ST., BALTIMORE, OHIO 43105.
