Nira Douglas

Nira D. Douglas, age 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 28, 2017.

She was the daughter of Fred and Maude (Sorrell) Drinkwine of Northfield, Vermont.

She proudly served her county in the "Women in the Air Force" (WAF) enlisting in 1952.

Nira lived her later years in Ohio.

Nira is survived by her seven children. Rose Crooks, Kenricka Adams, Michael Douglas, Karen Littlefield, Craig Douglas, April Nealy and Trent Douglas, 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was the next to youngest in a family of 10 children and is survived her brother Richard Drinkwine of Vermont and several nieces and nephews.

A committal service will be held at the Vermont Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Randolph Center, Vermont in the spring.
