Nancy Sue Sark was born on December 19, 1942, in Columbus, Ohio. She passed away on December 18, 2022 at the age of 79.
Nancy enjoyed a beautiful marriage of many years to Paul Richard “Dick” Sark, who was the love of her life. They spent many years going to Lake Logan with their children going boating, fishing, picnicking, and swimming. She adored her family and some of her best moments of Joy were spent loving on her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She spent many years in the service industry working as a waitress for both the Country Club in Lancaster and for the Apple Barrel. Her customers absolutely loved her and in many cases, asked for her when they came into the restaurant. They knew she would take very good care of them because she took pride in her work and enjoyed serving others. She also cleaned houses for a living, helping to provide additional income for her family.
In her spare time, Nancy enjoyed knitting baby outfits for new arrivals, playing cards and computer games, having tea parties, watching boxing and Jeopardy (which was her favorite show). She was always rooting for the underdog and looking for opportunities to help those that were less fortunate. She was a generous giver of her time, love and appreciation for her family and friends. She spent many hours at her kitchen table talking, laughing, consoling, and praying with family, friends and friends of friends to share a word of encouragement in their time of need and be a great listener.
Nancy is survived by her daughters, April (David) Watts and Kelly (Randy) Wilson; sons, Bret (JoLena) Sark and Brian (Wendy) Sark; grandchildren, Brittany, Brandon, Felicia, Deahna, Amelia, Tyler, Brittany, Briahna, Brienne, Braeden, and JaciLynn; sisters, Eleanor Martin and Judy Newland; brothers, John Elliot and Keith Clark; and many great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. Sark; and her parents, Mary and Orland Elliot.
