Nancy E. Phillips

Nancy E. Phillips, 79 of Pleasantville, Ohio passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at the Pickering House.  Nancy was born on March 6, 1944 to the late John and Mary Smith Sr. in Bridgeport, Ohio. She was a graduate of Bridgeport High School.

She was a house manager for REM Ohio for over 20 years where she touched many lives.  She helped manage Phillips Electric for her husband Woodie Phillips and managed the Woodie Phillips Show and also The Log Train Band.

Nancy was a member of Christ Way Community Church in Pleasantville and Baltimore VFW Post 3761 Auxiliary. 

She is survived by her son, Michael R. (Michele) Phillips of Pleasantville; step-daughter, Rhonda R. Phillips of Lancaster; step-son, Richard Blauser of Baltimore; step-son-in-law, Daniel Paumier of Carroll; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren; sister, Joyce E. LaMotte; brother, John A, (Debbie) Smith, Jr.; several nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Elwood “Woodie” R. Phillips Jr. of almost 40 years of marriage, parents, and step-daughter, Resha Paumier.

Caring Cremation® is being handled by the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, BALTIMORE, OHIO.  A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date with final inurnment to be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Baltimore, Ohio.
