Nancy (Torrence) Crist

Nancy Jane Crist (Torrence), 86 of Baltimore, Ohio passed away peacefully on January 21, 2021.
Nancy, born on January 2, 1935 to Altje and Henry Torrence in Canton, Ohio.  Nancy graduated from Liberty Union High School in 1953.
In 1955 Nancy married DeVaughn Blaine Crist.  They were married for sixty- four years and had one daughter, Nancy Elizabeth Crist (Pettitt).  Nancy was a fiercely dedicated mom.  Family came first and was above all else to Nancy, a value she instilled in all those around her.  The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.
Nancy was predeceased by her mother and father, Altje and Henry Torrence, stepdad Elza S. Weaver, husband DeVaughn, infant daughter Deanna Crist, brother Ted Torrence, sister Salle Speaks (Torrence).
She is survived by daughter Nancy Pettitt (Crist), son-in-law Mark Pettitt, grandsons Ross Pettitt and Michael Pettitt, brother Colin Weaver (Bev), niece Nicole Weaver, nephew Curtis Weaver, brother-in-law Lyle Speaks, niece Lori Speaks, sister-in-law June Torrence, nephews Chris Torrence and John Torrence.  Sister-in-law Minnie Grile (Crist).  And numerous other family members.
Caring Cremation has taken place through the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home.  A graveside service will take place on Monday Feb. 8th, 2021 at 10AM  at Maple Grove Cemetery in Baltimore officiated by Jill Dunlap.  A memorial service will take place at The Trinity United Church of Christ on Saturday August 28th  at 11AM, calling will be at the church from10AM until 11AM.   In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Nancy's name to The Trinity United Church of Christ, 105 N.
