Nancy Jane Claypool

Nancy Jane Claypool, 72, of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024 at the Pickering House. She was born on June 27, 1952 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Ed and Jane McPherson. 

Nancy was a1970 graduate of Lancaster High School, retired data processor for Lancaster Glass Corporation and a lifelong, dedicated and hardworking farmer’s wife. She was a member of the Lancaster Corvette Club, enjoyed doing yardwork and watching sunsets with her pet Boxers. Nancy really loved to travel and going to the Cayman Islands. 

She is survived by a nephew, Jason (Michelle) Claypool; adoring nieces, Ashley and Carley Claypool; sister-in-law, Linda Claypool; brother-in-law, David Claypool; close friends, Bev and Willie Azbell, Tracie (Matt) Cole, Anne (Steve) Malone, Gloria Reid, and the corvette family; her fur baby Ellie Mae and many other family and friends too numerous to mention. 

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Timothy Lee Claypool, parents, brother-in-law, Dan Claypool and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Juanita Claypool.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Pastor Jeff Palmer officiating. Burial will follow the service at Green Mound Cemetery. Family and Friends may visit from 4-7 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
