Nancy S. Azbell 71 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Friday, May 11, 2012 at Fairfield Medical Center.
She was a retired School teacher in the Logan-Hocking School District with 32 years of service. Nancy was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Delta Kappa Gamma, Hocking County Retired Teachers association, life member of Ohio Teachers Association and life member of the OEA and NEA.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 47 years, Thomas L. Azbell; first cousins, Robert (Gene) Henthorn of Lebanon, Ohio, Paul (Onalee) Henthorn of Paden City, West Virginia and Mary Jeanette Neville of Lowell, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Reba Shai, step-mother, Mary Shai, brother Leroy Edward Shai and cousins.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Rev. Roger Quay officiating. Burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster, Ohio. Friends may visit Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
