Nada Jean Smith Kerr, age 92, of Athens, passed away on August 8th, 2014, 12:12 AM, at OBleness Memorial Hospital. Nada was born in Lancaster, on August 6th, 1922 to Frank E. and Myrtle Ginder Smith. Nada was an amazing person who lived her life, always enjoying close friends, family, and contributing to the world. She believed that life was meant to be lived well.
Nada is survived by her son, R. Kenneth Kerr III and his wife, Theresa of Athens; daughter, Calista and her husband, Ron Strickmaker of Athens; five grandchildren, Kurt (Ann Marie) Strickmaker of Nashville, Stacey Jean Strickmaker of Athens, Erika (John) Rohrich of Chicago, R. Kenneth Kerr IV and friend, Brittany Dishong both of SC, and A.J. (Dr. Anna) Kerr of Columbus; and great grandchildren, Owen Strickmaker, Colin Strickmaker, Evie Jean Strickmaker, and Zoe Rohrich, and Lukas Rohrich.
Nada was preceded in death by her husband, R. Kenneth Kerr Jr., 1991; daughter, Deborah May Kerr,1951; and parents.
Family and friends are invited to call Monday August 11th from 11 A.M. until 2 P.M. at JAGERS AND SONS FUNERAL HOME, 24 Morris Ave. Athens, OH 45701. A private family graveside service will take place at a later date at Maple Grove Cemetery in Lancaster. Arrangements have been made through the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME.
