MYRTLE E. TOOLE 83 of Lancaster, Ohio died Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Crestview Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was a devoted housewife, mother and grandmother. In her earlier years she enjoyed babysitting and being a waitress. In later years she worked as a sales clerk for Elbee Shoes and a fitting room attendant for Hills Department Store.
She was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church in Lancaster for over 40 years. She was an active member in the Elizabeth Circle, United Methodist Women holding offices of President, Vice President and Second Vice President, Community Kitchen and Crossroads Ministry. She was founder of the Sweetheart Luncheon for members 80 years and older.
Myrtle is survived by her children, Maria Todd of Springfield , KY, Ronnie Bevilacqua of Streetsboro, OH, Linda Baker of Rushville, OH, Cathy McKinley of Blacklick, OH, Cheryl (Jeff) Lynn of Lancaster, OH and Lori (William) Graf of Rushville, OH; 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Kiyoko Grudier of OR and Will (Carol) Toole of OH; many nieces, nephews, and cousins in Alabama, Ohio, Oregon and Tennessee. Special friends, Jan McCoy, Ariel Ford and Libby Hensley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon, brother, Carl Grudier, two grandchildren and one great grandchild and special friend, Doma Braley .
The family would like to thank Crestview Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Central Ohio Hospice for caring for our mother.
Funeral service will be held Monday, October 31, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Cheryl Foulk officiating. Burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster. Friends may visit Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 and 1 hour prior the service at the church on Monday.
