Myrtle I. Carpenter

Myrtle I. (Neave) Carpenter, 97, of Baltimore, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at the Pickering House . She was a nurse, babysitter and caregiver for her entire life. She loved Ohio State Football, bowling and putting jig saw puzzles together.

Myrtle had been a school nurse at Liberty Union High School. She babysat for many children throughout her life before becoming a caregiver to her mother-in-law and then taking care of Clyde until his passing. 

Myrtle is survived by her daughter, Laura (Kevin) Mustard; son, Rick Carpenter; daughter, Kathy (Dick) Poland; grandchildren, Phillip Willis, Jeremy Willis (Allan Rose), Kelvin (Hannah) Zimmerman, Khristopher Zimmerman, Robert Reincheld, Jennifer Reincheld; and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, David (Phyllis) Neave, sister Dorothy Hale; her sister-in-law, Elsie Jane (Ron) Ramsey; and many nieces and nephews .

Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, William and Clara Neave, 7 siblings, and son-in-law, Jeff Zimmerman.

Friends and family may call at Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, Baltimore from 2-4 and 6-8 on Monday, July 22nd and Tuesday, July 23rd from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. The service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday at the Funeral Home, with the Reverend Michael Willis officiating. Caring Cremation® to follow.
