Myrna Jo Nye

Myrna Jo (Taylor) Nye, 76, of Lancaster, passed from failing health issues on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at 11:57 PM. She was born May 14, 1938, in West Rushville to the late Ralph A. and Glena Mae Taylor. She was married to Carl E. Nye on May 7, 1955.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Carl E. Nye; 6 children, Christopher (Peggy) Nye, Terry Nye, Rita Anderson, Cynthia Nye, Mark (Lori) Nye, and Laura (Cliff) Ogg; 8 grandchildren all with spouses; 23 beautiful great grandchildren; and sister, Jean Glaze.

She attended Rushcreek Presbyterian Church. She was a 1956 graduate of Rushville Union High School and was active in the marching band at Rushville Union. She and her husband were both very active in antiques. She is deeply loved and will be truly missed.

Funeral service for Myrna Jo will be held at 10:30 AM Monday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Lancaster with Reverend Paul Wymer officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
