Biography

Miriam J. Loy, 84, of Lancaster, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at Fairfield Medical Center.

Miriam was born April 24, 1927, in Baltimore, Ohio to the late Forest and Dorothy (Swinehart) Switzer. She was a member of Gloryland Church of the Nazarene. She retired from the Lancaster Holiday Inn after many years as an administrative assistant.

Miriam is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Denise and David Piccirillo; grandsons, Mark Piccirillo and Matthew Piccarillo; sister, Phyllis Switzer; and lifelong friend, Kenneth Swisher.

Miriam was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Donald E. Switzer and Charles Switzer.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Saturday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Lancaster with Pastor Mark Clingan officiating. Burial will follow in Betzer Cemetery, Carroll, Ohio. Family and friends may visit Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home and 1 hour prior to the service.
